Travis Country Neighborhood

Travis Country is a very desirable Southwest Austin neighborhood located near Southwest Parkway and Mopac. In the early 1990's the neighborhood came in high demand and builder's started developing un-utilized lots into modern homes. 2004 marked the end of active home construction in the newer section of the community. Travis Country is now fully built-out with the exception of a highly disputed tract of undeveloped land owned by Austin ISD. Meridian is also close by to some of the Austin’s most prestigious private and religious schools, among them being Primrose School of Shady Hollow for kindergarten-aged children, Bannockburn Christian Academy for elementary students, and Veritas Academy is inclusive of all grade levels from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
