Central Austin Neighborhoods

The Greater Austin Area explosive growth has made all housing close to downtown desirable, and few regions offer neighborhoods with such easy access to downtown and the city center as Central Austin.

Neighborhood architecture is versatile and varies from traditional homes to sleek and modern condos and town homes.

Prospective home buyers have flocked to Rose dale, West Campus, Eastwood, N. Campus/Dean Keeton, Hancock and parts of Hyde Park for single-family homes, condos, and townhouses. Vacant lots are at a premium and it’s difficult to find empty space to build, which makes foreclosed properties that may be tear downs particularly desirable.

Single family homes dominate the listings in Central Austin, and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes and floor plans, even in foreclosure. The added appeal of foreclosure listings is that properties can be obtained without paying top dollar in otherwise desirable neighborhoods. Some true bargains can be purchased as investments or rental properties by savvy buyers or people in search of more affordable real estate. As the Greater Austin Area continues to grow, Central Austin Foreclosures are a practical way to find bang for your buck with real estate investments.

The beauty of greenbelts and lakes are short drives away, and ultimately all the city is within reach for a Central Austin resident, and much of it is even walking or biking distance. Bike lanes are available throughout Central Austin.

The community seem to enjoy the best of both worlds with quiet and serene neighborhoods that allow them to zip in and out of Austin’s cosmopolitan centers with like hassle.
