Central Austin Schools
Austin Independent School District (AISD) serves the students that live in Central Austin. With a district-wide enrollment of 84,500, AISD operate 129 different schools, among them are 84 elementary schools, 18 middle schools, and 16 high schools. AISD determines which schools that students will attend based on where their residence is located within a region.
Private and religious schooling options are also readily available for parents that seek alternate educational opportunities for their children.
